About me

I am a freelance editor with 20 years of broadcast industry experience. I consider myself a ‘story first’ editor and enjoy telling stories with strong social issues at their core. I also enjoy the explosive nature and unexpected twists of scripted story telling. During my time on Coronation Street, I worked with a host of different directors and producers, and my calm, hard working and creative work was often commented on kindly. I believe that building and maintaining a good relationship with the director and producers is key to a successful edit, and I pride myself on having established excellent working relationships with my post-production teams.

As well as my scripted TV experience, I also have spent several years working on reality TV , advertising as well as corporate work, and enjoy the different approaches needed to tackle each job. Through this work, I have strong after-effects knowledge, useful for creative titles, graphics as well as technical fixes.

My experience as an edit assistant has also given me extensive technical knowledge, which is applicable to most jobs, especially in relation to complicated work flows and delivery. As such I am confident in my experience and skills both scripted and non-scripted TV but also in shorter form work and welcome new opportunities across these forms.

I have my own home edit suite but I am equally happy to work on location or where needed.
